As part of the $400m upgrade to the existing Lichfield site, Turfrey suppled and installed more than 47,000m2 (11.8 acres) of metal roofing and wall cladding to new milk powder dry store and load-out facility which is 212m long x 140m wide. This is almost certainly New Zealand’s biggest roof!
Work also included the 55m high dryer tower building, services corridor, vacuum pump room, consumables store, wet process, RO plant, office amenities, packing area, tipping area, milk reception, pump room, tanker wash bays, sprinkler valve room, effluent chamber and pump shed.
Turfrey carried out plumbing contract works to buildings, including amenities and other service areas.
